About me
I manage my family business from 2014. Until then, my parents, especially my father, played the main role. He created the present structure of the estate and laid down the foundations of operation.
As a daughter she never intended to be a winemaker. Later as an adult in 2008, we decided with my husband that we would finally move home to Tolcsva, and over time we would take care of the family farm.
Our guests often ask me whether I like it and how I do the winery. As a response, I tell my personal story that “I am genetically coded” for this task! I was born on November 3, 1972. The year 1972 is well known as one of the most outstanding vintage of the century for aszú. Vineyard workers were hard to find even then, so my mother-in-law’s grandmother and my mother, who was in a very advanced state at that time, walked out to Rány vineyard and picked aszú berries for weeks. They could only finish the harvest on October 28, when our neighbour sent a group of women to help. A few days later I was born. Later, on my birthday, this story was told often. For a long time, I didn’t think that it had anything to do with my personality. Only in 2016, when I got into personal contact with István Szepsy through the Tokaj Confrérie, and we talked a lot about the “whys” of Tokaj, I become conscious of the answer and found my true identity.
